Description:
Strictosamide is a natural alkaloid isolated from the herbs of Nauclea latifolia, it exhibits the activity of anti-inflammatory. In vitro and in vivo, strictosamide has no effection on kidney Na(+),K(+)-ATPase, but in vivo it producesan increase of Na+,K+-ATPase activity of brain, these findings indicate thatthe compound may be related to the induction of α2 isoform of Na+,K+-ATPase.Furthermore strictosamide has nonsignificant effection on brain, but inhibite the in vitro and in vivo Mg2+-ATPase activity on kidney.
